We met on St. Patrick's Day in Uptown Dallas. There was a live band playing that night. Matt came up and asked me to dance with him. It was an instant connection and it didn't hurt that he had an Aggie ring too! We stepped outside to talk for a while and I knew this was going to be something special. It has been an incredible relationship since that day!

Matt and I rented a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma for our two year anniversary. The second day we were there, we had spent the day hiking, fishing, and just exploring our beautiful surroundings. It had been drizzling all day, but we did not let that slow us down. Once we got back to the cabin that night, Matt started to gather the firewood and start a campfire. A few minutes into working on the fire it started to rain. We decided to sit on the front porch of the cabin and watch the rain. It was beautiful and relaxing. After a few minutes of sitting and talking, Matt started to tell me how much he loved me and how he was ready to start forever. He got down on his knee and he proposed. Of course I said yes!

He tells me that I had a smile from ear to ear when he asked. It was just a perfect proposal for us. We were both in jeans and a t-shirt, nothing fancy. Just genuine and real.
